The Mnesis is a powerful force. Having grown up in foster homes and eventually adopted, she had no concept of who she was, so when the memories of millions of years began to overwhelm her, she turned to drugs to suppress them. 

A heroin addict for several years, it wasn't until she met her mentor and fellow shifter that she sought to come clean and no serves as a guide and counsellor to the shifter community, in particularly to those who suffer from the same vices that once controlled her.
